Dog-Friendly Patios in DenverIt is officially summertime in beautiful dog-friendly Denver! You know it, and your pooch can sense it. This means trips to farmer’s markets (where treats are to be had), dog parks, lakes, hiking, and the occasional brewery(?), oh wait, dogs aren’t allowed anymore...wah wah.

With dogs not allowed in breweries in Denver (although they are still allowed on patios) bringing the pup along can be slightly more of a headache than it used to be. However, fear not, because we have compiled a list of some of the most dog-friendly patios in Denver. Take your pup to one of these spots without worrying about getting kicked out. (Oh and slip him one of our spent-grain treats while you’re there...just so he’s not missing out on the fun!)

For Brews and Food:

Denver Beer Co.,1695 Platte St Denver 80202

  • Monday – Thurs: 11am – 11pm
  • Friday & Saturday 11am – 12am
  • Sunday: 11am – 9pm

Why: Although dogs are no longer allowed inside breweries, patios are fair game! Denver Beer Co has a great patio so your pup can tag along for a brew. Bonus: Walking distance to the Railyard Dog Park at Little Raven St and 19th.

Forest Room 5, 2532 15th St. Denver, CO 80202

Hours:

  • Everyday 4pm-2am

Why: This eclectic spot feels like you teleported into a lodge in the mountains the second you walk in. Your pup is sure to love their woodsy side patio as well. Bonus: Walking distance to the Railyard Dog Park at Little Raven St and 19th.

The Watering Bowl,  5411 Leetsdale Rd.Denver, CO 80246

Hours:

  • M-Fr 4pm-Midnight
  • Saturday 11am-2am
  • Sunday 11am-Midnight
Why: The Watering Bowl is Denver's first dog-friendly tavern with a 7,000 square foot private fenced in dog park. Bonus: Now the official clubhouse of Pro Rugby Denver.

For Java:

Stella’s Coffee Haus, 1476 South Pearl Street, Denver CO 80210

Hours:

  • M-Th 6:30am-11pm
  • Friday: 6:30am-Midnight
  • Saturday: 7am-Midnight
  • Sunday: 7am-11pm

Why: Stella’s offers a great multi-level shaded patio to relax on in the shade right in the smack middle of the bustling S Pearl Street. Bonus: Free dog treats.

Wash Perk, 853 E Ohio Ave Denver, CO 80209

Hours:

  • Monday to Friday - 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Sat & Sun - 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Why: Wash Perk has ample outdoor space to sit with your dog either on their patio or along the sidewalk which they’ve covered in lawn chairs. Bonus: It’s a stone’s throw away from Wash Park.


Libations AND Coffee Combo:

Denver Bike Cafe, 1308 E 17th Avenue Denver, CO 80218

Hours:

  • Coffeehouse daily 6 am to 8 pm
  • Beer Hall open daily 3 pm to midnight
  • Bike Shop open daily 10am to 7pm

Why: Let’s be real, all your true Denverite needs concentrated in one location. Bonus: Walking distance from City Park.

Highlands Cork and Café, 3701 West 32nd Avenue Denver, CO 80211

Hours:

Daily: 7am-9pm

Why: A very dog-friendly patio nestled in the heart of the hip highlands. Bonus: Happy hour everyday from 4-7pm
