 A bit about the Denver-based rescues:

Golden Retriever Freedom Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)(3) all volunteer organization that is dedicated to making sure beautiful, sweet Golden Retrievers find their forever homes.  Their mission is to rescue, foster, rehabilitate and adopt abused, neglected, and unwanted Golden Retrievers.  They rely on their foster homes to care for each dog in order to asses the temperament of each Golden to ensure the dog is placed with their perfect human companion, so they may live happily ever after!  

Rocky Mountain Lab Rescue is "saving one wagging tail at a time" by providing loving foster homes and care for Labrador Retrievers and Lab Mixes that come from rural (and sometimes local) areas. Most of the labs are rescued from "high kill shelters" that are almost always full because they are located in rural areas located in rural areas, and most of the labs are not yet fixed, so there is a high population of unwanted litters.  They are a 100% volunteer based organization that is dedicated to finding their loving Labs forever homes!
