3 DIY Dog Treat Ice Cream Sandwich Recipes using Smart Cookie Barkery treats

Is your pet’s birthday coming up?  Need gift ideas for a dog-lover? Is your pup being extra good? Do you just love him so much that you want to give him everything in the world and then some? Or do you simply want to spoil him silly? Well if Smart Cookies weren’t good enough already, we came up with some chill ideas to take your Smart Cookie experience to a whole other level.  Check out these super easy DIY dog treat ice cream sandwich recipes, aka pupwiches!

 

Blue Honey Blast

Ingredients:
 
1/2 bag of Prima Dogna Smart Cookie Dog Treats
1 cup Honey Noosa yogurt
1/3 cup of coconut butter
1 cup of fresh washed blueberries
 

Dog freindly ice cream sandwich treat with blueberriesBlend yogurt, coconut butter and blueberries until smooth. Pour into freezer-safe container or ice cube trays, cover and freeze overnight. Let thaw for a few minutes and then scrape frozen mixture out of container. Smoosh pieces in between between two Smart Cookie Prima Dogna treats and return to freezer to “set” the sandwiches. Take them out anytime after 15 minutes and enjoy!

Tip: Dog on a diet? Use low fat yogurt instead or omit coconut butter.

 

The PB and B:

Ingredients:

1/2 bag of Sports Dog Smart Cookie Dog Treats

¼ cup Tender Belly bacon

1 cup organic unsweetened creamy peanut butter

1 cup plain Noosa yogurt

Chop up your fully cooked bacon into pieces.  Blend bacon, peanut butter and yogurt until smooth. Pour the concoction into bowl or ice cube trays depending on how much goodness you want to scoop into your sandwiches. Allow to freeze overnight. Scoop/scrape small portions of mixture between two Sports Dog treats and voila! You can scoop out all of the frozen mixture onto Smart Cookies and keep them stored in the freezer for as long as you like.

Tip: Dog on a diet? Use turkey bacon or low fat yogurt instead!

Ingredients:

½ bag of Survivor Smart Cookie Dog Treats

1 cup plain Noosa yogurt

⅓ cup of coconut butter

1 cup of fresh washed organic strawberries

Blend yogurt, coconut butter and strawberries until smooth. Pour into freezer-safe container or ice cube trays and freeze overnight. Slather/scrape frozen mixture between two Survivor treats and return to freezer to “set” the sandwiches. Take them out and enjoy!
